About Captain Clint of Big Fish
Captain Clint Taylor is a professional offshore fishing guide with more than a decade of experience fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.
Originally born in South Carolina, Clint moved to Panama City when he was just 13 years old. He has lived in Florida ever since. Clint has been fishing since he was big enough to hold a pole. His grandfather, also an avid fisherman, had a huge influence on his life. Growing up, Clint spent all of his summers at his Grandpa’s river house fishing the Little Pee Dee River in South Carolina. Clint was always the first one up every morning ready to fish and the last one to head back inside. Today, as the captain of Big Fish SGI, his passion for fishing is stronger than ever.
Clint is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq and Saudi at the tail end of the first Gulf War. During his time in the Army, he lived in Germany for three and a half years, where he worked in Patriot missiles.

Clint has been working as a deep sea fishing guide in St. George Island for more than a decade.
He has competed in more than 15 fishing tournaments, and he won first place in half of them.
Captain Clint is one of the very few fishing captains in Franklin County with a federal fishing permit. This means he can take anglers out to the productive, federally controlled waters off the Forgotten Coast. These federal waters—which span between 10 and 55 miles off the St. George Island coast in the Gulf of Mexico—are renowned as one of the most prolific fishing spots in Florida. There is only a handful of captains in the area licensed to take fishing charters to this pristine ecosystem. Captain Clint is proud to be one of them.

Christine Hall is Captain Clint’s first mate, deckhand and wife. Clint proposed to Christine in 2018 at the Cinderella Castle in Disney World, and tied the knot August 2019 in Las Vegas. Clint has one daughter, and Christine has four kids. All of their children are grown.
Both proud parents, Captain Clint and Christine are wonderful with children. They welcome anglers age 9 and up to join Big Fish SGI adventures. Captain Clint loves teaching kids the art of offshore fishing and helping them reel in the biggest catch of their life. He’s even known to name fishing holes after kids who catch something really spectacular!
As a proud Forgotten Coast resident, Captain Clint enjoys giving back to his community. Since 2016, he has hosted an annual Fish Dip Off competition with Cassie Gary at the Oyster City Brewing Company, where judges select the best smoked fish dip. Each year, Captain Clint takes the previous year’s five competition winners on an offshore fishing adventure to catch fish for the Dip Off. All proceeds from the Dip Off competition go to the local animal shelter in Eastpoint.
As a South Carolina native, Captain Clint is a huge Clemson fan. When they’re not running Big Fish SGI, Clint and Christine enjoy traveling and spending time with their dog and rescue cat.
